Our Mission
The mission of the La Junta Police Department is to efficiently provide professional and ethical police service to our community by promoting a safe environment through a police-citizen partnership, with an emphasis on mutual trust, leadership, integrity, fairness, and professionalism.
Who We Are
The La Junta Police Department is a 16-position department made up of dedicated professionals who serve our community with pride. Our team includes:
- 6 Command positions
- 7 Patrol positions
- 1 School Resource Officer (SRO) position
- 1 Code Enforcement position
- 2 Investigator positions
Together, we work around the clock to respond to emergencies, prevent crime, and support community programs that strengthen the bond between our department and the people we serve.
